G&E was founded in 2002 (Republic of China calendar). In October 2003, it was approved by the National Science Council of the Executive Yuan for establishment in the Southern Taiwan Science Park as a high-tech enterprise. Since new drug development involves cross-disciplinary research, Deying’s R&D team members possess expertise in biochemistry, physiology, molecular biology, pharmacology, horticulture, animal testing, and quality control. The team is led by Professor Guo Guohua, who previously served 23 years at the Institute of Biochemistry, Kaohsiung Medical University. The team primarily focuses on developing plant-based new drugs for diseases that are currently difficult to treat clinically, such as cancer and other conditions.
